Norma Munro - Scotia's Gold

Product Information

Scotia's Gold is a selection of Scottish traditional and some more contemporary folk songs. It was recorded on Islay by Hamish Campbell. Other musicians who played a part are: Eddie Pollard ( backing vocals, acoustic guitar, harmonica,) Branwen Sykes ( flute, Piccolo,) Jackie Adams (viola, mandolin, djembe,) Archie Mcallister from Campbeltown ( fiddle,) George Campbell ( bass,) brian palmer ( percussion,) James Carmichael ( chanter.)

The cover artwork is by Jane Taylor and the back cover photo by Jim Boyd from Kirkintilloch. The title track, Scotia's Gold was written as a poem by Dr David Wishart and given to me to set to music. David Wishart is well known for his book Whisky Classified.
